Return to Understanding MAP & NWEA
Does anyone have a survey to use in debriefing with students after they take their MAP?

We've had students journal about their experience on the MAP test. This is an excellent time for the students to set goals. We have had a great experience using MAP to differentiate instruction for students. We actually had a professional development session from an outside consultant that helped us understand how the RIT scores can assist in planning lessons.
This is great! Step by step instructions for teachers to use what's on the site - for students and with parents! Thank you!!
To find the Student Goal Worksheets - sign in to the NWEA website first - then:
1. Dynamic Reports (on left hand side)
2. Click - Dynamic Report Button
3. On left - Student Goal Setting Worksheet
4. Click - limit by teacher
5. Keep at default "fall 11-fall 12"
6. Click - at top "run document"
7. Double click your name - this should make it move from the right column to the empty left hand column
8. Click - "run document" at the top of the page
9. Double click your class again so it moves over to the right hand column (this is in case you have a group of AM/PM
10. Click - "run document" @ the top of the page - could take a few minutes
That's it ;)
I would suggest that you print the student goal worksheets that are provided to debrief with students. It sparks a great discussion and helps students see their score, their target spring score and discuss how they are going to reach that score (come to school, be on time, do their homework ... etc.)
Hi dbrassard! Welcome to the Community!
Great question! If anyone in the SPARK Community has created or knows of something like a survey to use in debriefing with students after they take MAP, it would be a great resource to upload to our growing resource section!!
