Introduction
Windows Magnifier is built into the Windows operating system. Magnifier is available in Windows XP and later. Windows 7 and later offer a better student experience that includes full screen and lens view options. Students may also use a color inversion option if needed.

Steps
Using Magnifier in Windows 7 or later:
  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Magnifier. Alternately, you can search for Magnifier in the Start menu.
  2. Set the magnification level with the - or + buttons.
  3. If needed, select the Options button (cogwheel) and select Turn on Color Inversion.
  4. If you are using an Aero system theme, you can set the view by clicking the Views dropdown. Full Screen and Lens views are only available when an Aero system theme is selected.
  5. Open the testing browser to start the assessment.
    • If you have difficulty using Magnifier with the Lockdown Browser, contact your Account Manager at NWEA for assistance.
Note: If you have the magnifying glass in the foreground, you will be able to adjust the zoom and view during the test, even when using the Lockdown Browser. If you minimize the Magnifier window, you will not be able to adjust the zoom and view.
