Question
What test windows are used in the norms?

Answer
The NWEA 2015 MAP Growth Norms document shows status norms tables for fall, winter and spring testing by subject and grade. These tables assume that a fixed number of weeks of instruction have occurred before each testing season:
  • Fall: 4th week
  • Winter: 20th week
  • Spring: 32nd week

The MAP Growth reporting system customizes norms-related data on your reports if you have set custom instructional weeks for your district or for an individual school. See Modifying instructional weeks. This means the printed tables in the norms document may differ from what is shown on school reports, depending on the testing schedules of school(s).
