Question
What is the difference between Skills Locators and Mastery Checks?

Answer
There are two types of interactions in MAP Skills: a Skills Locator and a Mastery Check.

Skills Locators can be used to either test discrete skills or to identify a student’s initial instructional reading level. Mastery Checks assess whether a student has mastered a particular skill or independent reading level. For more details, see Which Test (Mission)? in the MAP Help Center.
