Question
Is refreshable braille supported for MAP Growth testing?

Answer
Yes, refreshable braille devices and computers with refreshable braille displays such as BrailleNote are supported for MAP Growth testing, as long as the device is compatible with a screen reader such as JAWS. Please contact NWEA Partner Support to activate the accessible MAP Growth test for use with screen readers and refreshable braille.

Note that there may be some item display issues in math and science. Test items will work, but the formatting of the question may be different from what the student would expect. As an example, some math symbols will be presented as text. So instead of a symbol for cosine it would spell out c-o-s-i-n-e. We are actively working on resolving this issue, but we do not have an estimated time when the fix will be available.
