Students who are missing reporting attributes will not be included in any MAP reports for the term. Users with the District Proctor or Data Administrator roles can resolve this issue by updating the students' reporting attributes. Data Administrators can also use the Students Without Reporting Attribute report to identify students who are missing attributes.

To resolve the issue for a student, check their profile carefully for missing reporting attributes. All reporting attributes are designated with an orange 'R' icon:
  1. In the MAP Administration and Reporting Center (MARC), go to Manage Students.
  2. Use the search criteria to search for the student.
  3. Select the student in the search results and select View/Update.
  4. From the Basic Student Information screen, check and update the following required reporting attributes:
    • First and last name
    • Student ID
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
  5. In the Terms section, select the term for which the student is missing reporting attributes.
  6. Select View/Update Term.
  7. On the Update Term page, check and update the following required reporting attributes:
    • Grade
    • Ethnic group
    • At least one school assigned
    • A school designated as the School of Record
    • At least one class assigned
  8. Select Update Term.
  9. Select Continue.
  10. Review the student's profile and click Submit to save the changes.
  11. If you get the following error, the student is still missing reporting attributes.

To go back and fix the attributes:
    1. Note the terms listed in the error.
    2. Select Cancel.
    3. Select Return to Student Profile.
    4. Follow the above steps for each term for which the student is still missing reporting attributes.
  12. The student's profile is saved when you see the message Student profile has been updated successfully.

Changes take overnight to appear on reports.
