Introduction
How to add a student who was not included in the Class Roster File (CRF) using NTE Admin 2.

Steps
When a student record does not exist in your local testing database, follow these steps to add the student:

First, verify that the student does not already exist:

Launch and log in to the NTE Admin 2 software. Note that Teacher accounts do not have permissions to log into NTE Admin 2.

  1. From the top menu, select Manage StudentsView/Modify Student Profile.
  2. Search for the student using at least one of the search criteria.
  3. If the student already exists:
    1. Click Add Edit.
    2. Add or update the student attributes as necessary.
    3. Click Save and Close.
    4. You will be prompted to add the student to your local NTE folder. Select Yes to download the student info to the select school's NTE folder so the student is available in TestTaker. If you decline to download the student info at this point, then you will need to manually download the student's data prior to testing.
  4. If the student does not exist, continue below.

To add a new student:

  1. From the top menu, select Manage StudentsAdd New Student.
  2. In the Add Student Profile screen, complete all the fields.
    • The fields with a red asterisk are required.
    • Use the Add Another School link if the student is enrolled at more than one school in your district. This feature will add the student record to each school's NTE.
  3. Select Save and Close to save the student record to the NWEA database.
  4. Potential Duplicate Student Profile: If NTE Admin 2 discovers a similar record in the NWEA database when attempting to add a student.
  5. You will be prompted to add the student to your local NTE folder. Select Yes to download the student info to the select school's NTE folder so the student is available in TestTaker. If you decline to download the student info at this point, then you will need to manually download the student's data prior to testing.

If you accidentally duplicate a student, see: Duplicate Student Data Repair Request.
