Effective June 12th, when you log in to MAP® Skills™ (formerly known as Skills Navigator®), you will notice the logos, product names, and login screens look a bit different. These changes are part of the exciting updates NWEA™ is making to offer a more concise user experience and clearly convey our array of assessment offerings. While the name has changed, MAP Skills is still the same product you have come to know and value, and our mission, “Partnering to help all kids learn®”, remains constant, too.
After logging in, you’ll find your access link in the same position on the left-side navigation; just note it’s labeled “MAP Skills” now, instead of “Skills Navigator.” And once you’re inside the application, the primary change is simply the new name at the top of each screen.
The student login page and application will also be updated. Students will see a MAP logo in the top navigation of the login screen, which is replacing the current NWEA logo.
In addition to all the excitement about the product name and logo changes, you can also look forward to the following enhancements.
Just a Click Away—View Results for Skills Locator and Mastery Check Missions
Detailed results (including scores) for individual Skills Locator and Mastery Check missions are now even easier to access. Look for this icon in the Assignments tab (located next to the status on a student’s completed mission) and click for additional details. Examples of how this information displays for Math, Language Usage, and Vocabulary are shown below. The information displayed for Reading Comprehension assessments will vary slightly, showing the reading level as well as the skill status.
