Question
When viewing an Achievement Status and Growth Summary report, what does a set of three asterisks (***) instead of data for a student mean?

Answer
A set of three asterisks indicate that the student did not have a valid growth test event in one of the terms of the comparison (e.g. Spring term of a Fall to Spring comparison).
  • If a student does not have a valid growth test for the end term of the comparison, the following fields will be marked with a set of three asterisks (***):
    • PDF Report: Grade (end term), test date (end term), RIT range (end term), percentile range (end term).
    • Spreadsheet Report: StudentGrade, EndTestDate
  • If a student does not have a valid growth test for the start term of the comparison, the following fields will be marked with a set of three asterisks (***):
    • PDF Report: RIT range (start term), percentile range (start term).
    • Spreadsheet Report: None of the associated fields (e.g. StartRIT) are marked with asterisks, instead they are blank.
If you believe the student did complete the test, see: Test results not showing in MAP Growth reports for troubleshooting.
