Error accessing MAP Skills

Symptom
A user goes to MAP Skills and then receives one of three error messages.

Explanation
There are three error messages a user might see when attempting to access MAP Skills:
  • MAP Skills Access: You currently do not have any classes and/or students rostered to you for use in MAP Skills. If you think this is in error please contact your MAP Administrator.
  • Coming Soon! Currently, your user roles and privileges are not supported in MAP Skills. If you would like to have your user privileges modified, please see your local Data Administrator.
  • MAP Skills Interventionist: You currently do not have custom groups created, or you have no students in your custom group.

Solution
To resolve this issue:
  1. Check your user roles. Access to MAP Skills dashboard requires at least one of the following roles:
    • Instructor with at least one assigned class
    • Interventionist with at least one custom group
    • SN Administrator
    • Administrator
    • School Assessment Coordinator
    • District Assessment Coordinator
  2. Continue troubleshooting based on the error message you've received:
    • "MAP Skills Access" error message:
      1. This error occurs when the user profile has the Instructor role with no assigned classes, or the Instructor and Interventionist roles with no assigned classes or custom groups.
      2. Add at least one class to the Instructor role of the user's profile, or create a custom group for the Interventionist role. See How to add a new class in the MAP Suite or How to manage custom groups.
      3. Changes take effect immediately; you should now be able to access MAP Skills.
    • "Coming Soon!" error message:
      1. This error occurs when the user profile attempting to access MAP Skills does not have the the correct role assigned.
      2. Resolve this issue by adding one of the roles listed above. See How to add or modify users in the MAP Suite.
      3. If you do have one of the above listed roles on your account, clear your cache. See How to clear various web browsers' caches
      4. Changes take effect immediately; you should now be able to access MAP Skills.
    • "MAP Skills Interventionist" error message:
      1. This error occurs when the user profile attempting to access MAP Skills has the Interventionist role with no custom groups associated with it.
      2. Resolve this issue by adding at least one custom group. See How to manage custom groups.
      3. Changes take effect immediately; you should now be able to access MAP Skills.
  3. If the issue persists, try clearing your cache. See How to clear various web browsers' caches.
