Error accessing MAP Skills

Symptom
A user goes to MAP Skills and then receives one of two error messages.

Explanation
There are two error messages a user might see when attempting to access MAP Skills:

Error getting dashboard: You have no students assigned to you. Please contact your Administrator.

Coming Soon! Currently, your user roles and privileges are not supported in MAP Skills. If you would like to have your user privileges modified, please see your local Data Administrator. Screenshot displaying the above error message.

Solution
Access to MAP Skills dashboard requires one of the following roles:
  • Instructor with at least one assigned class
  • SN Administrator
  • Interventionist
  • Administrator
  • School Assessment Coordinator
  • District Assessment Coordinator

The first error message ("Error getting dashboard") occurs when the user profile attempting to access MAP Skills has the Instructor role assigned, but no classes have been associated to it. Resolve this issue by adding at least one class to the Instructor role of the user's profile. Changes take effect immediately. See Fix Teacher Profiles in the MAP Help Center.

The second error message ("Coming Soon!") occurs when the user profile attempting to access MAP Skills but does not have the the correct role assigned. Resolve this issue by adding one of the roles listed above. Changes take effect immediately. See How to add or modify users in the MAP Suite.
