Introduction
The RIT ranges on the Grade Breakdown report do not match other reports.
Information
The Grade Breakdown report groups students into 10 point RIT bands to assist educators with differentiating instruction. It is not designed to show the student's RIT range, which is the RIT score +/- the standard error of measure. Students will be grouped into the 10 point RIT band that most closely matches the students RIT range for the test.
For example, a student's RIT range for a goal strand on the Class report or Grade report may be 202 - 212. The 10 point RIT band that this most closely correlates to is 201 - 210, so this is the RIT band that will appear on the Grade Breakdown report.
