Question
Does using text-to-speech affect a student's test score on MAP Growth tests?

Answer
No. If a student usually has text read aloud, there should not be a significant change in the student's score. Text-to-speech is considered a designated feature, which means we recommend that only students who consistently receive read aloud or text-to-speech in instruction and other assessments should use text-to-speech in MAP tests.
