Introduction
A student may become locked out of MAP Reading Fluency if there is a disruption during testing (e.g. power or network failure) or if the student fails the readiness check before testing. Students who are locked out of testing appear in the middle column of the Proctor Dashboard.

Steps
If a student gets locked out of MAP Reading Fluency before testing, see MAP Reading Fluency: Student fails the readiness check.

If a student is unable to log in to MAP Reading Fluency, see Student unable to log in to MAP Reading Fluency.

If a student gets locked out of MAP Reading Fluency during testing:
  1. Have the student press the Esc key to exit the full-screen test mode and then close the browser. Closing the browser window will automatically pause the test.
  2. Have the student log back in to MAP Reading Fluency. The test should resume automatically.
  3. If the student is unable to resume the test, move the student to another device. If they are using a keyboard, take the keyboard away and try to resume again.
  4. If you want to start over, find the student's name under In-Progress Tests on the Proctor Dashboard and click Start Over. This discards any in-progress test.
