Introduction
MAP Reading Fluency requires each student to use a headset with a microphone.

Information
While NWEA does not recommend specific headset brands, we have the following requirements and recommendations:

Requirements:
  • The headset must have a boom-style microphone (on the end of a stiff arm that extends in front of the mouth).
  • Built-in computer microphones and in-line microphones on a headset cord are not supported.
Recommendations:
  • Over the ear style (rather than earbuds).
  • Passive noise-canceling.
  • USB connection (preferred), 3.5 mm jacks can be used for Chromebooks.
For further details, see Setting up for Testing  in the MAP Help Center.
