Symptom
Whenever you attempt to launch the NWEA Secure Testing Browser on a Mac, you get an error message saying the browser has quit unexpectedly.

Explanation
This can occur on Macs using macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later. When you first launch the Secure Testing Browser, you are prompted to allow access to the System Events folder. If you deny access, then the Secure Testing Browser will quit unexpectedly on launch.

Solution
To resolve this issue, follow these steps to allow the Secure Testing Browser access to the System Events folder:
  1. Navigate to System Preferences.
  2. Select Security and Privacy.
  3. Select Automation from the list on the left. You may need to scroll.
  4. Under the NWEA Secure Testing Browser application, check the System Events checkbox.

You should now be able to open the Secure Testing Browser successfully.
