Question
On the Student Matrix report, how is the instructional level determined?

Answer
For Oral Reading tests in MAP Reading Fluency, the instructional reading level on the Student Matrix report is determined by the highest score achieved by the student from the three reading passages they are presented with.

Research-Only tests do not appear on the Student Matrix and will not provide an instructional level. See Student Matrix Reports in the MAP Reading Fluency Help Center for more information.
