Question
On the Benchmark Matrix report, how is the instructional level determined?

Answer
For Oral Reading tests in MAP Reading Fluency, the instructional reading level on the Benchmark Matrix report is determined by the highest score achieved by the student from the three reading passages they are presented with.

Research-Only tests do not appear on the Benchmark Matrix and will not provide an instructional level. See Benchmark Matrix Reports in the MAP Help Center for more information.
