How many question on each test?
Great question and responses! Also, if you look at the NWEA Help Center, this table lists the approximate length and duration (along with other information ) for each of our assessments: Summary of Test Types
There does not seem to be a constant number, from what I can see. However, for 3rd-12th grade MAP growth, I see in reading about 40-44, Language 50-53, and math about 40. Remember that the test continues until a student gets 50 % wrong. Also, I think it adjusts to take into account possible rapid guessing.
For the 6+ MAP Tests:
Reading is 40 to 43
Math is 50 to 53
Language is 50 to 53
Depends on the percent of wrong questions the student get and the answer of the last couple of questions.
Science has 45 questions.
Thanks, Amy! In addition, each test may contain a small amount of field test items that are not scored and are not used to calculate a student's overall RIT score.
