Can anyone share with me their rollout plan for their district. I would like to see how you handle ongoing professional development, as well as how you include the MAP video library and get teachers to view these great videos.
We just started our pilot year of MAP with 13 of our campuses beginning Aug. 2019. We have had success in requiring all of our campus MAP leadership team (principal, assistant principal, and others selected by these to help lead MAP) to watch the the videos: Why use MAP Growth, Get your Teachers Ready, and Get your Students Ready. They watched these prior to a MAP Growth Basic training in July. During this July PD, campus leadership created their campus rollout plan (with given template) and had it ready to go for their campus training of all staff in August. All staff in August also were required to watch the videos: Why Use MAP Growth, Get Your Students Ready, and Get Yourself Ready to be a Proctor. Overall, we've found that 3 "exposures" to MAP introduction, vocabulary, and general understanding is needed before anyone can really learn anything else about MAP. We will be following same plan for bringing on 20+ new campuses next year. This was just the beginning.
Thank you for your response.
Your information is greatly appreciated.
