What are the Texas testing dates for 2020-2021?
We are setting our BOY/Fall testing window as Aug. 24th-Sept. 4th. It's the earliest we've ever tested, but it will give us time to ensure we've built a positive relationship with our students and that must have MAP Growth mindset.
The BOY/Fall window technically opens in July, but it's been recommended to not test prior to August 1st.
Another consideration, if we test the first week of August this year, but then move testing back to September next year, comparing data would be impacted because of the drastic change. Also, if you think backwards, and consider your EOY/Spring window, to stay consistent with window spacing, you would end up with a larger span of weeks between MOY and EOY or between BOY and MOY. Of course, all the settings are up to you, but comparing data in the long run would be more impacted.
Just my thoughts and opinions when we considered moving our test windows up early as well.
Hi Mary, I looked up your district's test window info and it doesn't appear that your 20-21 school year has been added to your MAP system yet. You'll want to reach out to your MAP team leadership to have this done.
