MAP for Primary

By Chad Steckel on November 29, 2010

We tested first grades using only the MAPS Survey with Goals reading tests.  We did not use the Math tests.

Is this data still reliable since we did not use all 4 portions of the test?

Yes, the scores are reliable. See Michael's response above.

The Reading and Math tests are reported (and scored) separately. As long as your students took both segments of the Primary Reading Survey w/Goals, they should have received a valid, combined score in Reading. This Reading score is very reliable and is not dependent on whether the students also took the Math segments.
