Okay, educator friends, the big holiday break will be here soon! Some of your students will take the MAP test shortly after they get back.  What tips do you have to make sure that you get those brains focused when they seem to need a long winter's nap?

When I taught seventh graders, my favorite motivator before going to the labs was to say, "The more you show me what you know, the less I will have to repeat things that are boring for you!"    It made a difference to my students when they knew I would be using their MAP results to keep things interesting and to support their learning in the classroom.  What works for you?
