EXAMPLE  - Traffic lighting: When teachers want to check that students understand a concept, they ask their learners to hold up a green, yellow or red sign to indicate whether they "get it", "think they get it but are not quite sure", or that "they don't get it at all. Teachers can then choose to spend more time with students who need additional help, those who indicated "red lights",  while allowing students with "green lights" to move forward.
