If students took the K-2 test in the Fall and both K-2 and 2-5 in Winter as 2nd graders, which score will show on the MAP ASG report Fall-Spring?
What did they take in the spring? You can set the term for the growth period under the drop down menus in the report options. If they take K-2 in the spring and you leave the default growth comparison period you will see K-2 fall 2018 to spring 2019. If they take only 2-5 in the spring you will want to select the winter 2019 to spring 2019 growth summary period.
In order to insure growth over the school year, fall to spring, they would need to at lease take the k-2 assessment in the spring term.
They were supposed to take 2-5 but they took K-2.

Then their growth Fall 2018 to Spring 2019 will be based on K-2.
Hi Linda - I am tagging Danielle Kerns who is an NWEA Community Manager with an expertise in support to see if she has anything to add to the answer you received from Melissa. It is great to see this kind of interchange between partners! Meanwhile you may want to take a look at the MAP Reports Reference Guide from the MAP Help Center for specific information on the ASG Report. There is also a video available in the Help Center that may prove useful: ASG Report Video
Hi Linda, Melissa is correct in that the growth comparison period is based on the terms that you choose when ordering the report. The system will check to see what test the students took in the terms, to compare and measure growth. Now if they took both tests within the same term, the system will pick the test with the lowest standard error of measure (SEM) to report. Hope this additional info helps!
