Tip of the Week: NWEA system status

Discussion created by Danielle Kerns on May 3, 2019

If your students notice frequent white screens, slow item loading or other error messages while testing, there are things you or your IT department can check to ensure students have the best testing experience possible.

NWEA provides a system status page that continually monitors the health of all of our products. In the event of an outage or degraded performance, our partners can check to see if MAP testing is fully operational and be notified of any updates. Check out our NWEA Status page and hit Subscribe to stay informed.

We also have a supportive knowledge article to help you troubleshoot local connectivity issues that can greatly affect student testing. Read more about this with Connection issues and white screens during testing. MAP Growth testing is very bandwidth intensive so make sure you are dedicating your building's internet resources to it on test days and avoid streaming any videos and music players. For wireless devices such as Chromebooks and iPads, check out what we recommend per access point in our MAP Help Center
