Because of the changes this year, our division has our high schools on a 4x4 semester block schedule. After discussing with my account manager, it sounds like the easiest thing to do is to test everyone in the fall and spring so it accounts for a full year of instruction and does not cause an issue with the winter window and 'instructional weeks' data.
After talking with my schools, they are hesitant and wanted to test on the semester (fall - winter; winter - spring) based on when the students would be in the course. By default, I know the data is going to create issues because the norms are not set up this way.
Has anyone experienced this issue, and what do you do to work around the block schedule and have valid, normed data?
