A student answered all of the items on a primary grades (K-2) test, but the test is showing as suspended or is missing from reports (even after overnight processing).

Primary grade tests (MAP Growth K-2, Skills Checklists, Screening: Math Early Numeracy, and Screening: Reading Early Numeracy) include a final unscored test item known as a reward item. The item includes a picture of a wagging dog. Students must click the Next button on the reward item page for the test to register as complete.

Screenshot of the reward item in a MAP Growth K-2 assessment. There is a cartoon dog with a wagging tail, and the text reads Good Job. The Next button is in the bottom right.

Note: There are several reasons that test results may be missing in MAP Growth. This article addresses the very specific scenario of a test not registering as complete because the student did not click Next on the reward item screen at the end of the test. For general troubleshooting steps of missing test results, see Test results not showing in MAP Growth reports.

If the test was started within the 28 day limit:

Log the student back into the test to click Next on the reward item. For steps, see How to resume a suspended test.

If the test was started more than 28 days ago but all scored items are complete:

Do not attempt to resume these tests. Tests started more than 28 days ago cannot be resumed. If this situation occurs, contact Partner Support for assistance.
