Symptom
When you generate a Students Without Valid Test Results report, you get an error saying no data is available, or the report does not show any students missing results for a particular grade or test, even though your students still haven't tested.

Explanation
For students to appear under a given grade and test, at least one student in that grade must have completed the test. A no data available message will display if no students in the selected grades have completed any of the selected tests. A no data available message will also display if all rostered students in the selected grades have completed the selected tests for their grade.

Also, if all the tests matching the criteria are inactive, you will see an error saying no data is available.

Solution
If no students have completed the specific test, wait until the day after at least one student completes the test to re-run the report. Reports update overnight. You can check the same day testing status by running the Test History Search. See How to find suspended tests or students who have not yet tested.

If you know that some students have completed tests, it's possible that students are missing reporting attributes. Try running the Students Without Reporting Attributes report. See How to repair students who are missing reporting attributes.

Also, check to verify that the applicable tests are active. See How to add or remove available tests.
