"Show instructions in Spanish" checkbox on test session

Introduction
What does the checkbox labeled "Mostrar instrucciones en espanol" ("Show instructions in Spanish") do?

Information
Students can select this checkbox on the sign in screen where students select their name and their test. It checkbox allows for the various screens and text that are not part of an actual test question to be displayed in Spanish. This checkbox does not translate any part of an actual test question. See Spanish and Arabic MAP resources and tests for information on tests in Spanish.

The screens that are displayed in Spanish when you check this box include (but are not limited to):
  • Sign in screen (where students select their name and their test)
  • Confirmation screens and buttons
  • Test paused screen
  • Labels at the bottom of each test item such as the Refresh button and the question number
  • The "No need to rush" screen ("No te apures") when a student is answering too quickly
  • Some parts of the end-of-test screen
